Williard Thurman Butler

Funeral services for Thurman Butler, 90, of Panacea, FL will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Wynn and Ronnie Morrell will officiate and interment will be in Pelham City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rabun Butler, Junior Tallent, Ridge Collins, Kevin Brooks, John Marc Butler, DeLeon Akridge and Adam Tallent. Born June 27, 1933 in Grady County he was the son of the late Tom and Eula Ruffin Butler. Mr. Butler passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in Quincy, Fl. He was retired from Scott and Marshalls Grocery store and served his county in the United State Army. Survivors include is wife, Mamie Louise Bush Butler; children, Stacie Huser (Jeff); Sammie Akridge (Deleon); Mimi Brock; Laura Tallent (Junior); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and a brother, John Butler. He was preceded in death by his parents,  a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Butler, sons, Sam Palmer and Hank Palmer and brothers Quintin Butler, Deloyd Butler, Marvin Butler, Jack Butler and David Butler and son-in-law, Clifton Brock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00PM on Sunday.
