William Henry (Pete) Godwin

William (Pete) Henry Godwin of Thomasville, GA passed away April 29, 2020 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born October 24, 1934 in Pelham, GA to Tom Godwin and Thelma Mulford Godwin. He was a truck driver for more than 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was a man of Faith who never met a stranger and always wore a smile. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maude (Tiny) Godwin of Thomasville GA Daughter- Debbie Evans of Pelham; Sisters- MaryAnn Simpson(Robert) and Janice Poppell of Pelham; Brother-in-law- Jimmy (Dick) Mobley of Thomasville; Grandchildren- Maria Batchelor(Simon);  Lacolla Harper(Eric); Michele Palmer(Paul); Skeeter Weeks; Scooter Weeks(Brandy); 7 Great Grandchildren Several Neices and Nephews and Friends far and wide. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, beloved daughter Libby G. Weeks and other brothers and sister. A private family service will be held due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
