Funeral services for Wilda Fowler Willis, 79, of Pelham will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Shaw, Rev. Franklin Russ and Rev. Olen Cain will officiate and interment will be in Harmony Church Cemetery. Born April 18, 1936 in Tifton she was the daughter of the late Willis Benjamin and Adelle Willingham Fowler. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and worked for 37 yrs. until her retirement with the Georgia Department of Labor. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was always willing to help anyone. She was a member of the Cotton Homemakers Club and Baptist Womens Organization. She was married on September 16, 1952 to Clower Eugene (Bill) Willis, Sr. who survives. Other survivors include her two sons, Gene Willis of Meigs; Terry Willis (Vicky) of Meigs; Grandchildren Robby Willis (Reanna) of Pelham; Maria Free (Matthew) of Cotton; Richard Willis of Jacksonville, Fl; Kristi Willis of Meigs and Walker Willis of Pelham and six great grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah Willis of Richmond, VA; Daye Vansickle of Pelham, Abigail and Isabella Free of Cotton and Adian Willis of Meigs; and three sisters, Jeannie Dixon (Max) of Cairo; Mary Johnson (Royce) of Cairo and Vivian Albright of Thomasville and three brothers-in-law, Emmett Davis of Cotton and Marvin Brooks of Pelham and Ray Barnes of St. Marys and one sister-in-law Ida Pearl Hubbard of Newport, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Willene Poitivent and Mildred Davis. The family will receive friend at the funeral home on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
