Walter (Sam) Pollock, Jr., 82, of Pelham passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. A private family service was held at Pelham City Cemetery. Rev. Matt Peek will officiate. Born February 22, 1938 in Sylvester he was the son of the late Walter Pollock, Sr. and Trudie Burgess Pollock. He was a self employed Merchant, Farmer, former Pelham City Councilman, former Mitchell County Hospital Authority and member of Pelham First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda Wingate Pollock. Other survivors include his children, Kelly Edge, Dana Durham (Todd), Roxanne Willingham (Chip), Samantha McCaskill, grandchildren, Austin Durham, Ashley Durham and Dalton Dennis, Cody, Rhett, and Cade Willingham and great grandchild, Landon Thompson, sisters Tonie (Ansel) Parrish and Betty (Roger) Godwin and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Pollock. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roy Pollock, grandson, Jonathan Thompson, a son-in-law, Kell McCaskill; and a son-in-law, David Edge.
