Vivian Piland Howze Chambless

Graveside services for Vivian Piland Howze Chambless, 93, of Pelham will be held Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11:00AM at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Len Roberts and George Russell will officiate. Born June 2, 1924 in Pelham she was the daughter of the late Willie Thomas and Nellie Mae Kendrick Piland. Mrs. Chambless passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Southern Pines Assisted Living in Thomasville. She was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church and was retired from M.W. Turners as a salesperson. She was married to Ernest Howze and later to Neal Chambless both whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her son,  Ernie Howze of Stockbridge; a daughter, Karen Whitfield (Randall) of Jacksonville; Grandchildren, Lee Whitfield of Salem, Mass; Jennifer Lambardia of Jacksonville; Kathy Unkelbach of Charlotte, NC; Yolanda Driver of Stockbridge; 11 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
