Verlon Palmer

Funeral services for Verlon Palmer, 94, of Pelham will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 2:00PM at Mizpah Church Cemetery. Born February 15, 1929 in Grady County he was the son of the late Andrew Melton, Sr and Eva Mae Pritchard Palmer. Mr. Palmer passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Service. He loved Nascar, antique cars, flower gardening, home cooking, family, Atlanta Braves and last but not least fishing, also country music and picking his guitar. He is survived by his sisters, Mavolyn Nesmith of Blakely; Evelyn Liles (Billy) of Buford; three brothers, Edsel Palmer (Betty) of Pelham; A. Melton Palmer, Jr. (Flora) of Athens; and Ammie Palmer (Gloria) of Lilburn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Verlon Dale Palmer; a brother, Bernard Palmer and sister, Joyce Hurst. Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home, Pelham
