Verdie Johnson

Verdie Mae Davis Johnson, 73, of Cairo passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Thomasville Care Center, Thomasville, GA.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10:00AM at Pelham City Cemetery.  Pastor Travis Harrison will officiate.  Born April 4, 1951 she was the daughter of the late William Pickett and Ruth Alma Bentley Davis.  She was married to Darrell Johnson, Sr. who preceded her in death.  Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker.  She is survived by her children, Scott Johnson (Tanya) of Sale City, Chris Maples (Nicole) of Pelham, Donna Johnson (Ronald) of Cairo, Darrell Johnson, Jr. (Kim) of Cairo, and Keith Johnson (Natalie) also of Cairo; grandchildren, Nicholas Johnson, Victoria Johnson, Paris Maples, Tristen Maples, Lynsey Johnson, Darrell Johnson, III, and Tayler Johnson; and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
