Sue Hinson

Funeral services for Sue Morrell Hinson, 72, of Meigs, will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hinsonton Baptist Church with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Stacy West and Rev. Tim Bice will officiate. Mrs. Hinson passed away at Grady General Hospital, Cairo, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Born June 21, 1944 in Thomasville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Payne Morrell and Evelyn Jones Morrell.  Mrs. Hinson was a member of Hinsonton Baptist Church in Meigs.   She was married to the late Cecil Lofley Hinson, Sr., and a homemaker. She is survived by her sons Cecil Lofley Hinson, Jr. (Barbara) of Cairo, Daniel Lyman Hinson (Laura) of Hinsonton; grandchildren Hunter L. Hinson (Chandler Ryberg fiancé) of Atlanta, Haley S. Hinson of Cairo, D. Lyman Hinson, Leigh Hinson, and Levi Hinson, all of Hinsonton; sister L’Amiel McDaniel of Pelham; brothers Ronnie Morrell (Carolyn) of Pelham, Steve Morrell (Becky) of Cotton, Alex Morrell (Gwanna) of Cotton, and Brother-in-law, John L. Hinson (Judy) of Thomasville; and special cousin Marce Doo of Cotton, GA. Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lofley Hinson, Sr., and parents Evelyn Jones Morrell and Raymond Payne Morrell. Pallbearers will be Adrian Morrell, Lucas Morrell, Ron Morrell, Steve Hinson, Kyle Brown, Yale Holton, Chas Walker, Will Bice, and Payne Bowles.   Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Hinsonton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
