Stanley Gilliard

Funeral services for Stanley Vance Gilliard, 51 of Cairo will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate and interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Harrison, Lee Gainous, Shannon Davis, Stevie Davis, Shawn Miller and Chris Singletary. Honorary pallbearers, will be Mike Jones, Charles Hayes (Red), Cole Harrison, Zach Harrison, Brice Edwards, CJ Trawick, Mike Trawick, Wendell Odum, Joe Knight, Brad Swan, Peyton Tyler and David Harrison. Born May 22, 1970 in Albany he was the son of Kermit Virgil and Peggy Lois Eaton Gilliard of Cairo who survive. Mr. Gilliard passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his residence. He was self employed and owned and operated Gilliard's Concrete Construction. He was married to Kim Bishop Gilliard of Cairo for 25 years who survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Lauren and Erin Gilliard of Cairo; a brother, Kermit Gilliard (Cristie) of Cairo; a niece, Anna Gilliard and nephew, Owen Gilliard of Cairo; Father and mother-in-law, Cary and Charlene Bishop of Cairo; mother-in-law, Suzanne Thomas of Cairo; Sister-in-law, JoAnna Thomas of Cairo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Barry and Mia Bishop of Cairo; brother-in-law, Nick Bishop of Cairo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Thelma Gilliard and Cecil and Mattie Eaton and father-in-law, Jerry Thomas.
