Shirley Jane Willis Palmer

Funeral services for Shirley Jane Willis Palmer, 82, of Pelham will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00AM at Macedonia Baptist church where she was a member. Rev. Marvin Snipes and Rev. David Pickering will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.D. Palmer, Justin Palmer, Jesse Palmer, Michael Pickering, Al Sellers and Elton Hurst. Born January 30, 1939 in Cairo she was the daughter of the late Ivey Jackson and Mamie Jewel Williamson Willis. Mrs. Palmer passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at her residence. She was a retired Clerk at Meigs Pharmacy. She was married for 65 years to James Merrill Palmer of Pelham who survives. Other survivors include her children, Donald Palmer (Karen); Ronald Palmer and Melanie Pickering (David) all of Pelham; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a numerous of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, IJ Willis, Jr, sisters, Bonnie Cross and Sandra Smith and a granddaughter, Katrina Palmer.
