Sheila Dennise Hornsby

Sheila Dennise Hornsby, 46, of Stockbridge passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Stockbridge. Mrs. Hornsby was born in Albany, GA to the late Alvin "Joe" Brinson and Janice L. Cutts Scoggins. She was a member of Rex Memorial Baptist Church and prior to retirement was employed with HMS Host at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and was previously employed with the Burger King in Stockbridge where she met her husband, James who survives and was married since 2004. Other survivors include her brothers, Raymond Paul Brinson and Kenneth Ralph Brinson of Summerville and Milton Fortner of Stockbridge; a sister, Shannon Corbitt of Valdosta; two grandchildren; special friends, Wanda and Steve Young and children Jayla and Meagan Young, Rhonda and Lisa Winn and Mike and Lisa Beau and children Christian and Ethan; an Aunt Cheryl Robison of Meigs; and two other aunts, a multitude of additional friends, and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Scott St. John(Birdshot). Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. James Cain will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Fowler, Mike Haney, Donnie Gregory, Alan Castleberry, and Rick Wiggins.
