Scott Gailey

Scott Emory Gailey of Cairo passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his residence. Born December 8, 1952 in Quantico, VA he was the son of the late James and Ida Mae Price Gailey. He was a retired truck driver, a loving father to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and all who knew him or called him Papa. He was married to Linda Lashley Gailey on Dec. 9, 1989 who was his life, she preceded him in death on Sept, 7, 2021. He is survived by his sister, Melody Gailey Lowry of Las Vegas, NV; his children, Button Thomas (Tommie Ann), Donna Osborn (Jeff), Danny Thomas (Sandy), Dale Thomas (Anita), all of Cairo; grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Felicia Thomas, Chrisy Osborn, Brittany Slappey, Jennifer Guerra (Victor), Katie Williams (Tommy), Brian Thomas (Katelyn), Kellie Thomas, Kaitlyn Lashley, Kelsey Thomas, Kacie Eubanks, and Marissa Thomas; and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, Art Gailey and his parents. The family will receive friends at 2300 GA Hwy 188 N., Cairo on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5:00-7:00PM.
