Sarah Thomas Burgess

Sarah Thomas Burgess, 74, of Pelham died June 27,2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born October 11,1939 in Grady County she was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Thomas and Sarah Joy Prince Thomas. She was a Legal Secretary and later bookkeeper for Mitchell County Land Field and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws, Allen and Brandy Burgess, Henry (Hank) and Angie Burgess, Brothers, Buddy Thomas and Bobby Thomas, Grandchildren, Austin Simpson, Alexis Simpson, Hunter Burgess, Tobey Burgess, Mary Grace Burgess and Cole Burgess. She was preceded in death by Father, Clarence Thomas, Mother, Sarah Joy Prince, son, Sonny Burgess, daughter-in-law, Autumn Burgess, grandson, Tyler Burgess and two granddaughters, Karen Burgess and Ciara Burgess. Family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm Monday June 30,2014 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Pelham with memorial services at 4:00 pm a with Rev. Ed Green officiating.
