Funeral services for Sara Janell Hurst Helms, 71, of Meigs will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 1:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Shae Glenn will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Sigala, Chris Spell, Dewayne Johnson, Charles Johnson, Shannon Hayes and Anthony Hayes and Honorary Pallbearers Roger Dale and Chad Bryan. Born July 8, 1949 in Albany she was the daughter of the late Roger C. and Sadie May Standsberry Hurst. She was retired from Ithaca and member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Pelham. Mrs. Helms passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her residence. Survivors include her sons, James Lee Bush and Jason Leon Bush (Anita); grandchildren, Jackson Elliott Wilder and Haley Renee Bush; sisters, Glenda Loyd, Judith Sigala and Donnis Martin; and two brothers, Joseph Hurst and Michael Hurst and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leon Wilder Bush; sisters, Virginia Johnson, Lugenia Spell and brother, Roger Hurst.
