Sara Inez Adams Etheridge

Funeral Services for Sara Adams Etheridge, 74, of Pelham, will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Church with interment in the church cemetery. Mrs. Etheridge passed away September 14, 2015 at her residence. Reverend Ed Green will officiate.
Born December 15, 1940 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of Tommy Odell Johnson and Bessie Bell Holton Johnson. Mrs. Etheridge was retired from the Mitchell County School System.
Pallbearers will be Billy Collins, Johnny Palmer, Joey Davis, Gene Williams, Frank Stewart, Malcolm Howell, Buddy Edwards and Daniel Justice. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rebekah Mercer, Heather Musgrove, Winston Musgrove, Matthew Adams, Andrew Adams, Blake Mercer, and Lynnlee Mercer. She is survived by her spouse, Leon Etheridge, sons Edwin Adams and wife Cheryl, Lamar Adams and fiancé Denise Wilson, all of Pelham. Grandchildren Rebekah Mercer of Pelham, Heather Musgrove (Winston) of Lakeland, GA, Matthew Adams of Pelham, Andrew Adams of Camilla, and great-grandchildren Blake Mercer and Lynnlee Mercer of Pelham.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Adams; parents Tommy and Bessie Johnson, and siblings Hazel Harrell, Doris Peavy, Jean Strickland, Jackie Collins, Buddy Johnson and Johnny Johnson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 6 PM - 8 PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
