Ruth Little Joiner

Funeral services for Ruth Little Joiner, 93, of Pelham will be held Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment in Pelham City Cemetery. Rev. Paula Lewis will officiate. Born March 17, 1922 in Pelham, Mitchell County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late W. A. Little and Sarah Godwin Little. Mrs. Joiner passed away at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home on Monday, February 22, 2016. Mrs. Joiner was a charter member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church in Cotton, GA. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters Lynn Bulwinkle (John) of Charleston, S.C., Terry Shiver (Carl) of Camilla, GA,, her son Jim Joiner (Debbie) of Albany, GA, granddaughters Lisa Stephens, Cindy Lake, Krista Simmons, Angela Glasgow, Carla DeShazo, Amy Gowan, Paige Gilchrist, grandsons Russ Joiner, Jay Joiner, Kip Bulwinkle, Matt Joiner; 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and sister Beth Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her parents W. A. Little and Sarah Godwin Little, husband J. L. Joiner, Jr., and a brother Rev. James Wallace Little. Pallbearers will be Russ Joiner, Jay Joiner, Matt Joiner, Dawson Gowan, Clint Gilchrist and David DeShazo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM on Thursday, prior to the service.
