Rufus "Jitter" Cain, Jr.

Funeral services for Rufus "Jitter" Cain, Jr.,78, of Pelham will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at 4:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan Fowler and Rev. Marvin Snipes will officiate and interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kenny Shiver, Jason DePlato, Neal Taylor, Travis Humphries, Scott Poitevint and Thad Poitevint. Honorary pallbearers will be retired telephone company employees. Mr. Cain passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lee County Health and Rehab. Born April 19, 1940 in Pelham he was the son of the late Rufus Cain (JB), Sr. and Bessie Johnson Cain. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and worked until his retirement with Bell South/ATT. He is survived by his wife Linda Cone Cain of Pelham; two sons, Kevin Cain (Chris Moore) of Washington, D.C. and Kyle Cain (Sheryl) of Leesburg; a grandson, Kaleb Cain and one sister Sara Harvey of Albany. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dean Cain and Jerome Cain and brother-in-law, Horace Harvey, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00PM-4:00PM Monday.
