Rosa Godwin White

Rosa Jeanette Godwin White, 89, of Pelham, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany, Georgia. Born in Decatur County, Georgia on May 2, 1924 to the late Jack and Mamie Glover Godwin, she was a homemaker and a member of East Pelham Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons Ron White and wife Connie of Albany, Georgia, Don White and wife Sharon of Knoxville, Tennessee, grandchildren Wesley White, Kelly McPherson and husband Scott, Barbara Getek and husband Scott, Corey Carr and wife Shera, Amy Montgomery and husband Jeff, Ivy Francisco and husband Jurberto, Nikki White, and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband David White, her parents Jack and Mamie Glover Godwin, brothers Alvin Godwin, Lawrence Godwin, half brother Willie Godwin, half sisters Rebecca Keaton and Mattie Lou Eidson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at East Pelham Baptist Church with Rev. Herman Hampton officiating. Pallbearers will be Wesley White, Scott Getek, Scott McPherson, Hayden Moye, Danny Lee, Wayne Gilliard and Steve Parramore. Interment will be held at Pelham City Cemetery.
