Robert E. Tinsley

Robert "Bobby" E. Tinsley, 82, of Pelham, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla, Georgia. Born on May 15, 1932 in Grady County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Vonnie Lee Tinsley, he was a small engine mechanic and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Robert Carroll Tinsley and wife, Sandra, Jackie Ragan and husband, Ronnie, Lisa Swilley and special friend, Dirk Flachsmeier, and Gayla Kennedy and husband, Jamie, grandchildren, Jeremy Ragan, Blake Tinsley, Katy Suggs, Justin Ragan, Magan Swilley, Tinsley Kennedy, and Abby Kennedy, 7 Great Grandchildren, and sisters, Katherine Harrison and husband, A.B., Geraldine Taylor and husband, Sonny, Betty Stanaland and husband, Bobby and Jeannie Griner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Joann Hatcher Tinsley, parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Vonnie Lee Tinsley, sisters, Ovenia Tinsley and Willadean Key, brothers, Albert "Buck" Tinsley and John Wentford Tinsley, and brothers-in-law, Thomas Key and Jerry Griner. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Doug Hall will officiate the services, with Joe McGalliard assisting. Active pallbearers are Jeremy Ragan, Justin Ragan, Blake Tinsley, Jarred Suggs, Ray Tinsley, Dirk Flachsmeier, Wally Swilley, Carlton Brooks, Buddy Bass, and Lee Tinsley. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Davis, Greg Fenn, Jimmy Darby, Henry Snipes, Frank Evers, Terry Tinsley, Steven Taft, Jim Autry, Jim Jamerson, Billy Humphries, Roland Wetherbee. Interment will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
