Funeral services for Richard DeLane Butler, 63, of Pelham will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. LeRoy Williams and Garrett Gay will officiate and interment will be in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Gay, Jay Birdsong, Joshua Kitchens, Andrew Birdsong, Richard Willis, Richard Willis, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rabun Butler and John Malloy. Born May 22, 1961 in Pelham, GA , he was the son of the late Albert Deloyd and Virginia Elizabeth Carlton Butler. Mr. Butler passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at Archbold Living-Camilla. He was married to Janice Marie Palmer Butler for 26 years until her death on August 3, 2020. He formally worked with Mitchell Transit as a dispatcher and Scott and Marshalls in Pelham and was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Heather Abbott (Matthew) of Powder Spring, GA; Shannon Dozier (John) of Cairo and Shane Wisham of Pelham; grandchildren, Gage Wisham, Hunter Wisham, Shyenne Dozier, Breck Queen, Dallas Wisham, Stacey Dozier, Johanna Dozier, Harper Wisham, Jessa Dozier and Aubrey Bridges; siblings, Angie Jones (Ben), Cindy Tucker (Bill), Wendy Gay (Jeffery), Lisa Kitchens (David). Aunt and Uncle, John Butler (Lenora Jo) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday an hour prior to the service.
