Remona Cecelia Godwin

Funeral services for Remona K. Godwin, 89, of Pelham will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00AM at Mizpah Primitive Baptist Church where she was a member. Elder Jimmy Smith will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Godwin, Robert Brooks, Craig Brooks, Austin McCall, Jimmy Kolbie and Wayne Shiver. Born August 7, 1930 in Camilla she was the daughter of the late Godfrey Eugene and Paula Irene Harden Kolbie. Mrs Godwin passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence. She was married to Tolbert Hansel Godwin, Jr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Melanie Layton of Pelham; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Godwin of Cairo; grandchildren Chris Godwin (Lauren) of Pelham; Melia Davis (Micky) of Pelham; Bert Godwin (Carrie) of Pelham; Todd Layton of Pelham; Mariah Mathers (Clint) of Cairo; and great grandchildren, Brownyn Godwin, Blakely Godwin, Brexton Godwin, John Hansel Davis, Josh hudson Davis, Savannah Williams, Tyler Williams and Laney Mathers. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Keith Ladon Godwin, and brothers and sisters, Morris Kolbie, Charles Kolbie, Doris Shiver, Christine Anderson, Effie Johnson, Fannie Mae Warren, LeOpal Law, Tom Dawson, Eudell Dawson and Melvin Dawson.
