Reba Melton Tinsley

Reba Melton Tinsley, 81, of Pelham, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.  Rev. Stacy West will officiate and interment will be held at Mizpah Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dylan Daughtry, Ethan Daughtry, Josh Daughtry, Randy Sowell, Colby Sowell, and Jim Barrett.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimbo Curles and Todd McKenzie.  Born December 28, 1943 in Columbus, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Lillie Mae McKinnon Melton.  She was a retired personal finance manager for American Finance and attended Meigs Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, reading, spending time with family and listening to old country music.  She was married to Leon Tinsley, Jr. who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her children, Patricia Glover (Greg) of Thomasville and Chad Daughtry (Jennifer) of Pelham; grandchildren Ashley P. Sowell (Randy), Dylan Daughtry (Haley) Haley D. Frick (Michael), Ethan Daughtry, Josh Daughtry, and Alexis Tinsley; great grandchildren Randy Sowell, Colby Sowell, Augustus Frick, and Emilia Frick; siblings Johnny Melton, Harry Melton (Laurie) and Margie Melton Avery (Andy); sisters-in-law, Dorothy Maxwell and Patti Rhodes (Marion); numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Leon Tinsley, Jr., sisters Betty Ann Melton and Hazel Hurst; stepson Leon Tinsley III, cherished friends and sisters-in-law Francine Melton and Jackie Redmond Melton.  The family will meet with friends on Saturday, March 1st from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Lewis Hall Oncology Center, 919 S.
