Funeral services for Phillip Roy Garcia, 72, of Meigs will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. David Pickering will officiate and interment will be in Forestlawn Cemetery in Cairo. Pallbearers will be Phillip Joseph Garcia, Phillip Wilbourn, Jeff Daniel, Tony Drinkwater, Chad Faircloth and Whit Sealy. Born July 25, 1951 in Pinebluff, AR. he was the son of the late Phillip Garcia and Nicoholasa Martinez Garcia of Boynton Beach, FL who survives. Mr. Garica passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at Archbold Hospital. He was owner and operator of Garcia and Sons in Meigs. Survivors include his wife Josephine Garcia of Meigs; children, Ruben Garcia of Meigs; Veronica Garcia McGowan (Thad) of Pelham; Sylvia Garcia Faircloth (Chad) of Commerce; Mike Garcia of Ft. Myers, FL and Bennie Garcia of Cairo; and grandchildren, Phillip and Ruben, Melanie and Noah and Max Mateo and a number of other grandchildren and great grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Garcia, sons, Phillip Roy Garcia, Jr., and Fernado Mateo a grandson, Jerry Trull.
