Peggy Josephine Nelms

Funeral services for Peggy Josephine Warren Nelms, 80, of Meigs will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Frazier and Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Murphy, Ben Braswell, Scott Miller, Sonny (Magnus) Nixon, Jacob Bean and Robbie Butler. Born May 23, 1941 in Thomasville she was the daughter of the late Grady and Lillian Loraine Pope Warren. She was a member of the Meigs United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carol Nelms of Meigs; sons, Mark Nelms (Renee) of Tallahassee; Clay Nelms (Ingrid) of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Jackie, Courtney, Jacob, Kayle, Nicole and Cecilia; great grandchildren, Abel and Charlie Grace; and one brother, Timothy Lee Warren of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Alonzo and Jimmy Warren. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home an hour prior to the service. Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home, Pelham
