Funeral services for Mr. P. L. Bass, 90, of Pelham will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Marvin Snipes and Rev. David Pickering will officiate and interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bass worked for Toms and Dairyland Dairies until his retirement and was a member of the American Legion and a WWII veteran and member of Macedonia Baptist Church . Born March 4, 1924 in Pelham he was the son of the late Lonnie David Bass and Irene Fulford Bass. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stanley E. and Serena Bass of Camilla; Winston E. and Deborah Bass of Leesburg; and a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda E. and Ernie Shiver of Meigs; and daughter-in-law, Gail Bass of Pelham; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Other survivors Othell Bass and one sister, Helen Bass Wills. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosezell Lane Bass, a son, Robert Earl Bass and his parents and siblings. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Bass, Daniel Bass, Kevin Bass, Mark Humphries, Ben McFarlin and Grey Shiver and honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Carnahan and Anthony Humphries. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Macedonia Cemetery fund, 285 Macedonia Road Pelham, Georgia 31779.
