Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pelham First Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gleaners Sunday School Bible Class. Ouida was a true child of Christ above all else, who adored her family and many friends. She was a very active member and regular attendant of the Pelham First Baptist Church for over 75 years, serving as Sunday School teacher for many years. She never uttered an unkind word, never smoked or consumed alcohol, considering her mind and body a gift from God and His temple to care for. Ouida enjoyed dancing with her friends every Friday and Saturday night at the Pelham Jamboree and at the Hoedown. We can see her dancing today with wings spread in heaven, surrounded by family with everyone singing. Bubba did not die, she just passed away. She was active in the American Legion Auxillary, Professional Business Women's Club, and an organizer of the Pelham Senior Citizens Center. She has been retired for over forty years from a retail furniture business that she and her husband owned and operated. She will be truly missed by all who adored her.
