Opal Avant Willis

Opal Avant Willis, 81, of Pelham, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her residence. Born on October 17, 1931 in Pelham, GA to the late Luvie and Daisey Sadler Avant, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham and a retired bookkeeper for First State Bank of Albany. She is survived by her son Milton F. Willis of Pelham, GA, granddaughter Misty Jo Vinson and husband, Shane, of Leesburg, GA, great granddaughters Summer Delacey Vinson, Ava Noel Vinson, Saylor Grace Vinson, all of Leesburg, GA, sister Margie Davis and husband, Billy, of Pelham, GA, brother Frank Avant of Pelham, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wenifred Willis and parents, Luvie and Daisey Sadler Avant. No formal visitation will be held. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. graveside at the Pelham City Cemetery. Rev. Herman Hampton will officiate the services.
