Opal Morrison

Graveside services for Opal Godwin Morrison, 92, of Pelham  will be Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 10:00AM at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Rev. Olen Cain will officiate. Born September 14, 1927 in Cairo she was the daughter of the late Eddie James and Mary Emma Carter Godwin. Mrs. Morrison passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Legacy Village in Thomasville. She was married to Wayne L. Morrison who preceded her in death. She was a retired Customer Service Representative at Pelham Banking Company and a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham. She is survived by her daughter, Meg Whigham (Mark) of Cairo; son, Eddie Morrison (Jill) of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Emmaree Anderson of Boston, GA; Drew Whigham (Gina) of Tallahassee; Connor Whigham (Lindsey) of Whigham; Maxx Morrison of Atlanta; Morgan Morrison (Chris Slacum) of Atlanta; Great Grandchildren, Opal Anderson, Gemma Whigham, Vance Whigham, Ava Morrison, Molly Slacum and a special friend and caretaker, Louise Reese of Camilla.. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Foy Godwin, Jewel Sellers, Bernice Bulloch, Grace Kirbo and Ira Godwin.  In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Mrs. Opal's memory. Services will be live streamed for those who cannot attend at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Facebook page.
