Mr. Lynford C. Owen

Lynford C. Owen, 75, of Meigs passed into the loving arms of his savior Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Owen was born to the late L.C. Owen and Annie L. Owen. He was a business owner in Meigs for many years as a successful florist and owner of Meigs Barber Shop. Lynford always had a smile for his many Friends and enjoyed sharing his beautiful floral arrangements with his beloved Meigs Baptist Church as well as his friends and family. Many years he had one of the most beautiful orchid greenhouses in the county. Mr. Owen favorite pastime was visiting his grandmother's farm and fishing. He is survived by his brother W. Murray and Joan Owen, Niece Carla Owen, Nephew, Kevin M. Owen all of Thomasville and several friends and cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7PM. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 3:00PM at Meigs Baptist Church. The Rev. Franklin Russ and Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate.
