Funeral services for Michael Logan McMurphy, 19, of Cairo will be Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald Willis will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Born January 17,2005 in Cairo he was the son of Susan Osborn Ausburn. Mr. McMurphy passed away Saturday, September 21,2024 at Grady General Hospital. He was a member of Meigs Assembly Church and Patient Care Tech with HGA Florida Healthcare and graduated from Cairo High School. He is survived by his mother, Susan Ausburn; brother, Jordan Phillips; sister, Katelyn Thomas (Brian); Aunts and Uncles, Rex Osborn (Sherry); Eddie Osborn (Steve); Rachel Young (George); all of Cairo; Cousins, Malone Powell, Alissa Brown, Brandon Nik, Matt Osborn, Courtney, Sissy, Jada, Zack, Coby, Maddy, Ashtyne and Addy; special friends, Mason Morrell, Daniel Knight and Blake Glover. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Ray and Kathleen Dixon Osborn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM.
