Michael Drew Hurst

Michael Drew Hurst, 70, of Pelham, passed away December 23, 2024 at Archbold Medical Center in Camilla.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 2:00PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.  Rev. Bryan Gainous will officiate with interment to follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Will Burgess, Logan Hurst, Don Warren, Ray Elrod, Jeff May and Petey Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Glenn, Steve Glenn, Danny Burgess and Donald Moxley. Born March 22,1954 in Pelham, he was the son of the late Leon Woodrow (Buddy) Hurst and Marzine Roberts Hurst Cooper who survives.  Mr. Hurst was retired from Coats and Clarks where he worked as overhauler in the maintenance area in both Pelham and Thomasville.  Other survivors include his wife, Hazel Marie Hurst, two sons, Michael D. Hurst (Autumn) and Don Warren (Heather), one daughter April Moxley (Don), grandchildren, Logan, Preston, Easton and other step grandchildren, sister Gloria Lowe (Roy), sister-in-law, Betty Hurst, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, twin sons, brothers Wayne Hurst and Bill Hurst and a step-son, Jason Warren. The family will meet with family and friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service on December 27, 2024 at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.
