Funeral services for Merlene Cooper Hood, 76, of Camilla will be Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home . The Rev. Joe Poitevint, Jr. will officiate. Born December 8, 1940 in Double Springs, AL she was the daughter of the late Jim and Idell Eddy Cooper. Mrs Hood Passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was a former manager of family Dollar. Survivors include her husband Edward (Eddie) Hood of Camilla; three sons, Bobby Pilgrim of Plant City, Fl; Jimmy Pilgrim of Pelham; and Ray Pilgrim of Camilla; four daughters, Reba Elsmiller of Camilla; Rita Boyer of Cairo; Vickie Pilgrim of Camilla; and Tanah Hood of Camilla; a sister, Kathleen Campbell of Port St. Lucy, FL; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Johnny Pilgrim, a son, Billy Richard Pilgrim and a grandson, George Mercer. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00PM.
