Merita Hughes Curles

Merita Hughes Curles, 69, of Camilla, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Born on May 6, 1944 in Cairo, GA to the late Fredrick Henry and Martha Luella Gee Hughes, she was a homemaker and a member of Branchville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Joe Curles, Sr. of Camilla, GA, daughter Kim Sullivan of Albany, GA, son Billy Sullivan of Kennesaw, GA, stepdaughter Denise Watson of Pelham, GA, stepson Chuck Curles of Ochlocknee, GA, 17 grandchildren, and sister Molly Beck and husband, Buck, of Baconton, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Freddy Hughes, and stepsons Maston Curles and Joe Curles, Jr. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Lynn Roberts will officiate the services, and will be assisted by Rev. Robert Watson. Pallbearers are Wayne Sanders, Jim Morrell, Bennie Williams, Shannon Williams, Chuck Curles and Jimmy Woods. Interment will be held in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
