Matthew James Tilden

Services for Matthew James Tilden, 52, of Ochlocknee who passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at his residence will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 1:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Born August 16, 1966 in Raway, New Jersey he was the son of the late Fredrick Arthur and Margaret Rose Gomer Tilden. He is survived by his brother, Timothy Patrick Tilden of Ochlocknee, sister, Ellen Tilden of Texas, Sister-in-law, Rose Marie Tilden of Pelham, nieces Angelica Ann Marie Brown and Julia Christine Marie Tilden, Margaret Rose Marie Tilden and Julie Marie Cogswell; Nephews, Christopher Andrew Tilden, Michael William Curry and Alexander James Curry; great nieces Annabelle and Sophia and great nephews, Alan and Hunter; many cousins from Ala. and Mass. and many friend he thought of as family from Jersey, NY. Matthew was a great man who changed the world when you met him. He was a quiet soul who lived alone for many years. He looked at the world as beauty and loved his friends as family and loved his family even harder. His life was in wood flooring and loved designing floors for people. Matt always wanted to own his own business and came up with awesome designs for wood floors as well.  Matt enjoyed the simple life loved to read, camping and being near the water and traveled around to be near family. He loved playing the guitar and rock music. He was one of a kind and could make you laugh even when you were sad and will be missed by many. He was always there for his nieces and nephews. If he could write a letter this is what it would say Friends and family I’m finally happy. I’m free of the burdens of this world. I will always be with you. Stay strong, I’m free I will live forever in you. Rock on I love you now and forever. Don’t fuss, I’m home. Take care of my kitties. No more pain no more tears.
