Mary Louise Strickland

Funeral services for Mary Louise Strickland, 101, of Pelham will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 2:00PM at Pelham First Baptist Church where she was a member. David Strickland, Pastor LeRoy Williams and Rev. Matt Peek will officiate and interment will be at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Strickland, Wesley Strickland, Kevin Strickland, Jody White, Marcus White, Brian Strickland, Scott Strickland, Jackson Murray and Tripp White. Born September 30, 1919 in Woodstock, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Jefferson and Lassie Irene Poore Turner. Mrs. Strickland passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her residence. She was married to Roscoe Lindon Strickland who preceded her in death. She was a retired kindergarten  teacher at Pelham First Baptist Church, Member of First Baptist Church Golden Age, Former Sunday School Teacher and member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her children, Philip Strickland (Suzie); Betty S. Palmer (Edsel) all of Pelham; Sandra S. White (Alan) of Meigs and Linda S. White of Pelham; nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and special friends, Debbie Cooper, and Melissa Beard (The A Team). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jack Strickland (Suzanne), brothers, Warren, Lewis and Jack Turner and sisters, Irene Eubanks, Frances Hancock and Ruth Turner. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
