Mary Anne Sellers

   Mrs. Mary Anne Sellers, age 85 of Lost Forest Road, Blairsville, formerly of California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 10, 2021 at her home following a brief illness. Mary was born on March 23, 1935 in New Castle, Ireland, daughter of the late David Hackett & Margaret Burke. Mary was a very loving & caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an avid reader & traveler. Mary also dearly loved her church & church family. She is preceded in death by her husband; Evan Wiley Sellers in November 2020, and two brothers; John Hackett & Geoffrey Hackett. Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Blairsville. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law; Kevin & Jenn Sellers of Grand Junction, CO., two grandchildren; Takoda & Summer Sellers, one step-grandchild; Kate Hayde of California, and many nieces & nephews whom she loved very much. A funeral mass will be held on Friday March 12, 2021 at 10:30am from the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Mario Lopez officiating. The family will meet with friends at  the funeral home at 1:00pm following the service at the church. Special music will be presented by Ron Gaucher & Maryanne Englemann. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 13, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Pelham Cemetery of Pelham, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Blairsville in Mary’s memory.     Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
