Mary McKenzie Grant

Mary McKenzie Grant, 91, of Pelham passed away Monday, May 20,2024 at her residence.  Funeral services will be Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church, Pelham, with interment at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  Harold Smith and Michael Morris will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Bryan McKenzie, Lamar Oliver, Aaron Boling, Neal Hilliard, John Mark Butler, and Todd McKenzie. Born January 8,1933, in Camilla, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Irby and Lena Beatrice Taylor McKenzie.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service.  She is survived by her children, Katrina Grant Sarrels (Gary) of Tallahassee, FL, Donna Carroll (Allen) of Cumming, GA, Bobby Grant, Jr. (Michael) of Atlanta, GA, and Marilena Smithwick (Chip) of Camilla, GA, grandchildren Jennifer Bolling (Aaron), Grant Smithwick, Skylar Smithwick, Ashton Smithwick, and Peyton Smithwick, great grandchildren Zeke Boling, Aubrey Boling, Mason Maloy, Jayden Maloy, and Kayleigh Maloy.  Brothers Buddy McKenzie (Glynell) and J I McKenzie (Kitty) and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Grant, her parents, and siblings Oren McKenzie, Emmett McKenzie, Carroll McKenzie, John McKenzie, Roy McKenzie, Katie Majors, Wynell Brooks, and Edna Kemp.  The family will meet with friends and family on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.  Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
