Martha Pyles Redmond

Martha Francis Pyles Redmond, 83, of Meigs, GA passed away on Wedneday, June 19, 2013 at her residence. Born on June 19, 1930 in Crawford Co., GA to the late John and Mattie Smith Pyles, she was a retired teacher of 36 years. She was a member of Meigs United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer of the UMW for many years. She is survived by her son John Redmond and wife, Penny, of Meigs, GA, daughter Nancy Chambers of Pelham, GA, grandchildren Coy Chambers and wife, Sarah, and Logan Redmond and John "J.R." Redmond, Jr., sisters Vivian McDaniel, Winnie Adair, brother Holmes Pyles and special friends and caregivers Lorene Tolbert, Debra Jenkins, Debbie Ezell, and Cathy Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Redmond, parents John and Mattie Smith Pyles, brothers Harmon Pyles, Glenn Pyles, Ralph Pyles, Tommy Pyles, Malcome Pyles, John Pyles, sisters Phyllis Allmond, Doris Barr, Hilda Gillespie and Helen Bagley. There will be no formal visitation held. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. graveside at Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Rev. Andy Frazier will officiate the services.
