Margie taught in the Pelham School System for forty years and substituted off and on for a number of years. She was voted Teacher of the Year in 1958. She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and playing Bingo with the residents of Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking and making her famous cheese straws that everyone loved so much. She is survived by her son, Jon Harrison, and a sister-in-law, Mary A. Coleman of Ashville, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.
