Margaret Lee Barfield

Funeral services for Margaret Lee Palmer Barfield, age 91, of Pelham will be Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church where she was a member.  A private interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  Rev. David Pickering and Rev. Billy Majors will officiate. Mrs. Barfield passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at her home. Born December 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leavy Palmer and Izetta Humphries Palmer.  She worked as a seamstress with Ithaca. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Barfield Weaver (David) and her son, Michael Allen (Mike) Barfield (Sue), grandson Stacey Byrd, granddaughters Brandi Barfield McGalliard (Kirk), Brooke Barfield Hawley (Chase), great granddaughters Morgan and Blaire McGalliard, great grandsons Grady Byrd and Jack Hawley, one brother Macel Palmer and one sister Janice Palmer Spence.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years Allen Green (Tony) Barfield, infant daughter Toni Michelle Barfield, sister Nell Palmer West, and brothers Terry Palmer and Bobby Palmer. Kirk McGalliard, Chase Hawley, Seth Cain, Shawn Miller, Jack Hawley and Laney Robison will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Macedonia Baptist Church.
