Linda Godwin Bell

Linda Godwin Bell, 76, of Calera, Alabama (formerly of Ochlocknee, Georgia) passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home in Alabaster, Alabama. Born on October 2, 1938 in Cairo, Georgia to the late James Foy and Sarah Leah Miller Godwin, she was a retired CPA secretary and was Methodist by faith. She is survived by her husband Bobby L. Griffin of Lawrenceville, Georgia, sons Jeff Burkhalter and wife, Melissa, of Calera, Alabama and U.S. Army LTC Reese Bell and wife, Joy, of Grovetown, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ochlocknee United Methodist Church. Rev. Andy Frazier will officiate the services. Interment will be held in Ochlocknee Cemetery.
