Leon Anderson, Jr.

Leon Anderson, Jr,, 78, of Cairo passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.  Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate with a private family interment to follow at Union Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Heath Brinson, Jospeh Brinson, Adam Brinson, Dane Merritt, Shannon Davis and Luther Smith.  Born December 25, 1945 in Grady County, he was the son of the late Leon Sr., and Gladys Lucile Hurst Anderson.  He was in the metal building business with Harrison and Ellis, and Merritt Mechanical Construction.  He was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Cairo. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Rose Alinda Brinson Anderson; his children Mike Anderson (Samantha) and Sean Anderson (Lisa) both of Ochlocknee; grandchildren Eryn Anderson, Ashton Anderson, Kristen Anderson, all of Ochlocknee and Brittany Ruby (Griffin Nolf) and Brianna Muliford (Hunter) all of Albany.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Randall Anderson and two sisters Linda Edenfield and Lequita Cox.  The family will meet with friends on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 2:00-3:00PM, one hour prior to the service.
