Larry Frosteg

Larry Clayton Frosteg, age 73 passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024 and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ following an extended bout with advanced prostate cancer and heart disease. He was the son of Phillip (Huck) Frosteg who is deceased and Bette Kelly Frosteg who survives. Other surviving family members include his wife and love of his life for the past 45 years Kathy Frosteg ; sons Vince of Pelham, Ryan of Orlando and Garrett (Kristen and J.B.) of Valdosta; sister Stephanie Davis; and a large extended family.

Larry was a life-long resident of Pelham, graduating from Pelham High School and returning home after graduating from Georgia Tech with a management science degree to run the family businesses. After a brief teaching and coaching stint at Pelham High, he joined his uncle Bull to help manage his produce operation. He purchased Frosteg’s Mens Clothing store and also Pelham Tobacco Warehouse from his uncles and ran them for 20 years. For the past 22 years, he has been the General Manager of Beall Tire Wholesale.

He served many civic organizations through the years in Pelham and Mitchell County including: Pelham Chamber of Commerce, Pelham Development Corporation, Joint Pelham-Mitchell Co. Development Authority, Mitchell County Jury Commission, Pinecrest Country Club, Mitchell County Sports Hall Of Fame, and the Rotary Club of Pelham. He was a Trustee-Emeritus of the Georgia Rotary Student Program, an international college scholarship organization.

Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham and was a devoted member of the adult choir.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
