It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kiley Hays. Born on January 5, 1980, Kiley was a warrior in every way facing life's challenges with grace and strength. Kiley's contagious smile and light motivated us all to be a better person. Kiley had a unique ability to connect with everyone she met and leave a lasting impression. Kiley loved being outdoors, loved animals, and spending time with her friends and family (especially her niece Brighton). Kiley's legacy is one of perseverance, love, and unwavering support for those she cared about.
Kiley Ann Hays, 44, of Pelham passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at her residence. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 24, 2024, 2:00PM at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Wooten will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Joiner, Tres Collins, Chuck Turner, Jason Barwick, Kenley Bentley, Clark Connell, Lyndon Langley, and Shane Everson. Kiley graduated from Pelham High School in 1998 and earned her bachelor's degree in psychology. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pelham. Born January 5,1980 in Albany, GA, she was the daughter of the late Richard Bright Hays and Marjorie Anne Bass Hays, who survives. She is also survived by her sister, Kim Hays West and niece, Brighton West; aunts, uncles and cousins, Knotty Hays, Jr. (Rebecca), Terri Watts Oliver (Jimmy), Becky George (Bill), Marsha Youngblood (Hank), Greg Hays, Kathy Cowen (Tommy), Jerry Bass (Sandy), Robbin Folsom, Patty Tennison (Jimmy), Dondra Bass, Scotty Bass, Brittany Haire, Lexys Branch, Raelyn Branch, and Joan Johnson (Hunk), numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bright Hays, grandparents, Walter Donald and Sue Mathews Hays, grandmother Nona Marjorie Bass, aunts and uncles Susan Hays Collins, Bobby Bass, Ronald Bass, Donald Bass and a cousin, David Bass. The family will receive friends at their home on Wednesday, October 23,2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
