Joyce Palmer Hurst

Funeral services for Joyce Palmer Hurst, 96, of Camilla will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Les Pollock will officiate. Pallbearers will be Clark Connell, Drew Palmer, Steve Burns, Andy Palmer, Dwight Palmer and Eddie Spence. Born November 22, 1925 in Grady County she was the daughter of the late Andrew Melton and Eva Pritchard Palmer. Mrs. Hurst passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Camilla. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and retired from Pelham Banking Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Hurst, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Connell of Pelham; Pam Mackey (William) of Valdosta; Grandchildren, Jarod Penland (Kayla) of Noblesville, IN; Clark Connell (Jenny) of Valdosta; Malissa Robbins of Moultrie; and six great grandchildren; Siblings, Mavolyn NeSmith of Blakely; Evelyn Liles (Billy) of Buford; Verlon Palmer of Pelham; Edsel Palmer (Betty) of Pelham; Mel Palmer (Flora) of Arnoldsville, GA; Ammie Palmer (Gloria); and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Bernard Palmer; Nephews, Malone NeSmith and Dale Palmer. Memorial contributions may be made to Mizpah Church.
