John Edward May

Funeral services for John Edward May, 84, of Pelham will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Olen Cain and Rev. Doug Hall will officiate and interment will be on his son's land. Pallbearers will be Chris Hayes, Jeremy Allen, Jacob May, Jackson May, Gary Wood and Matthew May. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Tinsley, Homer Tyson, Steve Glenn and Ricky Worsham. Born May 4, 1940 he was the son of the late Edgar and Leona Motes May. Mr. May passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Mitchell Convalescent Center. He was a self-employed logger and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Wells May of Pelham; two daughters, Sharon May of Hinesville; Sandy May of Tampa; and son, Jeff May (Courtney) of Pelham; grandchildren, Jeremy Allen (Jessica); Jacob May, Jackson May, and Abby May; and one great grandson, Swain Allen.
