JoAnn Spence Tyson

JoAnn Spence Tyson, 63, of Meigs, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Born on December 28, 1949 in Mitchell County, Georgia to the late Paul Harrison and Rosalyn Harpin Spence, Sr., she was a retired office manager and a member of Hinsonton Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, John Michael Tyson of Meigs, Georgia, children Tonya Hatcher of Pelham, Georgia, Michael Tyson and wife, Jodi, of Thomasville, Georgia, Jeb Tyson and wife, Lindsay, of Statesboro, Georgia, grandchildren William Hatcher, Christy Hatcher, Alicia Tyson, Megan Tyson, Makayla Tyson, Spence Tyson, great grandchildren Noah Hatcher, Serenity Hatcher, sister Donna Blaney and husband, Terry, of Gainesville, Florida, sister-in-law Margie Spence of Camilla, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Harrison and Rosalyn Harpin Spence, Sr., brothers Paul Spence, Jr., Chris Spence, and Steve Spence. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. graveside at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stacey West officiating.
