Jeffery Howell Herndon

Funeral services for Jeffery Herndon, 59, of Pelham  will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Rob Burns will officiate. Born February 2, 1959 in Grady County he was the son of the late Clyde and Edna Sadler Lawhorne and Howell Herndon who preceded him in death. Mr. Herndon passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He worked for 18 years for Woodhaven Furniture  and 20 years for Hercules Bumper. Survivors include his wife, Dale Hand Herndon of Pelham; sons, Joshua Herndon (McKenzie) of Valdosta and Jeremy Herndon of Pelham; grandchildren, Connor James Herndon, Jackson Scott Herndon and McKinley Grace Herndon; three brothers, Johnny Herndon of Pelham; Lavon Lawhorne of Pelham and Bobbie Lawhorne (Michelle) of Cairo and sister, Janice Huffman (Tim) of Omega; Sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, Shirley Reaves of Cotton; Eddy and Betty Cooper of Pelham; Bonnie Walker of Meigs and Roy and Susan Hand of Albany; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Connie Smith, Rosemae Murphy and Wendy Lawhorne. Pallbearers will be Keith Lashley, Aaron Stanley, Jamie Bynum, Damon Corley, Jamey Thompson, and Ethan Anderson.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM.
