Funeral services for Janie Peacock, 99, of Moultrie will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 12:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Jordon will officiate and interment will be at Cobb Cemetery in Moultrie. Born March 15, 1923 in Mitchell County she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ella Maloy Burgess. Ms. Peacock passed away at her residence in Moultrie on Friday, October 14, 2022. She was retired from Coats and Clarks. Ms. Peacock was married to Joseph Elton Peacock, Sr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Franklin Hegwood (Carolyn) of Tennessee and Joe Peacock (Leila) of Moultrie, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two daughters, Patricia Hapey and Janice Damico and a son, Donald Hegwood.
