Funeral services for James Monroe Mash, 73, of Cairo will be Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 10:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. James R. Mash, Rev. Eric Mitchell and Bill Staten will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Joseph Mash, Devon Mash, Brad Barfield, Billy (PeeWee) Mash, Ricky Mash and Johnny Mash. Born June 24, 1949 in Mitchell County he was the son of the late Arthur, Jr. and Hazel Lee Dunlap Mash. He was a self-employed home builder and served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Mash passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynn Sharon Fleming Mash of Cairo; children, James Mash, Stacy Mash and Cody Mash all of Cairo and Tonya Lambert (Jeff) of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Joseph Mash, Devon Mash, Megan Mash, Mallorie Barrineau, Wesley Hicks, Harley Mash and Ariel Mash; grandpups, Daisy, Lucy and Bella; brothers, Danny Mash (Mary) of Whigham; and Billy Mash of Cairo; sister, Syble Barfield (Alvin) of Cairo; and an aunt, Rosalyn Senn. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Peewee Mash, and sister, Sylvia Diane Mash, grandparents, Arthur and Pearl Mash and William and Myrtle Dunlap. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 6:00-8:00PM .
